Vince Kunda unwittingly catches the attention of a group of renegade former Zimbabwean soldiers turned bounty hunters calling themselves the Switch Traders. Retirement from the intelligence service seems to be just a figment of his imagination when he finds himself surrounded by an ever tightening surveillance net mounted by the renegades. Apparently, despite his efforts in trying to keep a very low profile, he has been exposed, with his old cover blown to bits. For some reason, the bounty hunters regard him as an obstacle in achieving their objective, the returning of all former Zimbabwean ministers and those involved in the sacking of the national treasury back to the country to face justice.

When the former gangster Joacquim Gaviao Macaucau shows up in Lusaka his band of assassins, the smell of trouble suddenly fills the air. And then Vince’s wife Selinha goes missing.

In the midst of al the confusion, Vince finds himself being duped into undertaking a search and rescue mission that he has no wish to be part of, into the uneasy murky swirling depths of Congo Kinshasa. He has no idea that his reputation already precedes him, and his every move is being tracked by the Congolese counter intelligence.
