Who am I and what is the purpose of my life? Does God exist or is it just wishful thinking by deluded people? What is Christianity all about? This is a book about how I very reluctantly became a Christian and in the process, I unexpectedly discovered the meaning of my life. I became a Christian at the age of 39 years old after doing the Alpha course. Prior to this I had little or no interest in religion, and I would have described himself as an agnostic/atheist. I was a cynical detective and I thought religion was for people who couldn’t deal with reality. This book hasn’t been written for Christians. It’s been written for people who don’t know what they believe and who are seeking purpose in their life. At every stage I have tried to put myself in the position of someone who would like to believe in God, but who just refuses to swallow weak and unconvincing explanations. I wrote this book because it's the book that I wish I could have read at an earlier point in my life. It would have spared me a great deal of confusion and explained to me what all the fuss is about. This book will help you to learn about Jesus. Who was he? What did he come to teach us? This book will help you to understand what Christianity and the Bible is all about. If nothing else it might make you laugh
