A Christian Guide for the New Year is a collection of inspirational writings to help you find the strength to face the coming year with hope and courage. Through a life of Faith, Jesus lives in us and we live in him. The goodness of God has the cross planted in the middle of it. Jesus said, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." If there ever was a time for a change it is now; Jesus says in Luke 13:3, "I tell you, nay; but except ye repent, you shall all likewise perish." God is always willing to forgive us if we just only confess our sins to Him and repent.
We remember that we are all sinners. In Romans 3:23 it says "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Many in this world do not believe in sin and that certain acts are not sin. This attitude is nothing more than open rebellion towards God. God gave us the law and the prophets that we might know what sin is. The penalty for sin is death, Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death." There is no escape from death without the atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself a sacrifice for us that we might be saved. As a Christian, we should be aware of our sins and ever ready to repent of them.
