Satanic worship, bestiality, child abuse, drugs, alcohol abuse, theft—and this is a Christian community . . . really!

I got the “call” while sitting at my computer in my office in Minnesota, where I lived. This call I felt was a spiritual experience. It was not any particular contact by letter, phone, or telegraph. It was not the sort of “call” that televangelists talk about either. There were no voices or visions of angels or visions of Jesus. I was just sitting there, wondering what I was going to do with the rest of my life. Then without warning, I thought about becoming clergy. Suddenly I felt a peace that defies description come over my whole being.

What is that peace like? If you have felt it, then you know it. It’s that simple and that complicated. It’s giving your whole self to God and knowing without any doubt that it will all work out. If you are a control freak, as I have been and still am to a great degree, this doesn’t even make sense. I haven’t had it often, but when I do, I am left winded and in harmony with the world.
