The purpose of this dictionary is to give an account of everything that relates to Christ - His Person, Life, Work, and Teaching. It is in a sense complementary to the Dictionary of the Bible, in which, of course, Christ has a great place. It was originally published as a two volume set; however, this eBook contains both volumes in one. It also includes extensive entries on the four Gospels. Biblical expert and Editor James Hastings compiled over nineteen hundred pages (printed edition) of notes from over one hundred international contributors and scholars. While this is an enormous and scholarly work, it is also readable and helpful for a range of students. Each item contains detailed and nonetheless concise material, accompanied by the author’s name.
