Corina Amstutz has survived and finds great relief and guilt at the same time. The young widow and her daughter, Lilly, are sad to leave their familiar Ohio Amish community, but she feels it vital in order to make a fresh start in life. Their move to Grabill, Indiana holds challenges and blessings. Their “charming homestead” only needed a little TLC, something of which sounded perfect in the ad, plus the price was great.
Corina struggles to make a living for her family of two. She did not realize that farming by oneself was so difficult, yet sees God working to provide for not only her, but her new community. As she gets to know the people, her defenses are up with some, but knows that this new beginning is just that and must allow herself to trust again. Her lingering question is that everyone will find out about her past; and what then?
Hannah Gates has given many faithful years to T & S, and then one day out of the blue is let go. She literally is sick and shuts herself off in her apartment for weeks. After her friends many attempts to cheer her up, Hannah decides to get away from the Big Apple. They all meet for breakfast and like the game, pin the tail on the donkey, her friend Ali Jordan choses Hannah’s destination, Grabill, Indiana. She finds and advertisement on the internet for a cozy B&B and thinks that it will be a perfect place to recoup and get the renewal that she needs. She, however, finds trouble, blessings and God.
Jonathan and Thad are bachelors, and women are the last thing on their minds. They are just too much trouble, plus they have too much work that needs to be done than to be out courting. There are plenty of single gals, but none have caught the eye of either man. Daniel had his shot at marriage and since becoming widower, four years earlier yet the thought of finding anyone to replace his wife has never entered his mind. It could only be the Lord who is responsible for stirring up all three of the men’s lives… the Lord plus a few others.
