An adventure, romantic comedy, and high school drama in which one girl, the last of her race, must learn to live with the people that killed her family.
She is Sera Joyce, who came to Ōho when she was just five years old. She came with her family--explorers--who upon arrival in the distant land, encountered foreign soldiers who grew fearful of the aliens and massacred them. Only one survived the slaughter: Sera. Our story begins ten years after Sera's family is killed, when the spirits return to the world. Sera, the boy she loves, and several of their friends are challenged to a game in which one of them will die. What will the world be like after one of them is gone, and will any of them ever find the happiness, the acceptance, or the love they need? Expect strange and wondrous times under the springtime sun, under the cherry blossoms of a warm summer's night, in the cold steel rain.
