This is the story of an all-American boy. After growing up in a small town, I got up and left for a year to teach English as a second language in Daegu, South Korea. This was an incredible journey filled with sights, wonders, friends, trials, tears, and ultimately personal growth. Sprinkled with my satirical humor - especially when making fun of the egocentric approach most Americans take toward life outside the USA - I explore a world that is completely alien to most people in my country. In this book I chronicle my exploits and adventures for the sake of sharing them with my friends and family, as a keepsake to always remember this incredible experience, and to show anyone who feels like they're in way over their head that you just can't give up. Join me as we relive the challenges and adventures of a year in the life less ordinary.
