Philanthropist Murdoch Grant is an avid art collector who hasn’t been able to keep the position of authenticator filled at his museum for two years. Joslyn Montgomery is a journalist for a popular art magazine who freelances as an art authenticator, her true passion. Joslyn receives an anonymous phone call claiming that Murdoch is behind a string of undiscovered art thefts, and decides to go undercover as his authenticator to get the inside scoop for a shocking article for the magazine. While Joslyn is trying to prove his guilt, Murdoch realizes that she is his soul mate. Meanwhile, his three brothers show up, flirting playfully with Joslyn and causing Murdoch undue stress, and Murdoch’s two best friends begin to feel that something’s not quite right about her, and investigate. When Murdoch discovers why she is really working for him, he decides that they should travel the world, sightseeing and re-authenticating all the supposedly stolen paintings before returning the originals. During the course of their travels, Murdoch begins to feel emotions he thought long-dead as the two fall in love, but Murdoch has a real secret he’s hiding: He’s a centuries old cursed shape shifter, and loving him means becoming like him. After she accepts his love and his curse, they hunt down the real thieves, and discover a possible conspiracy that spans centuries.
