Like a lot of people I had a dream. To live in the sun and take life one small step at a time. Kick back, sit back, lie back, be an ex-pat on my back and watch the world go by. With our two trusty dogs, Harvey and Holly, the 'H' Team, my wife and I wanted to move from wet and cold Britain to Cyprus, land of the sun and a place where living would be easier... or so we thought.
Little did we expect that we would experience the most tumultuous days of our lives that would see us lose our dogs on day one, be evicted from our rented house after only three weeks, lose thousands on the sale of our house, be attacked by marauding insects, become snake charmers, experience the most chaotic medical system in Europe as my wife begins to lose her sight and finally face financial meltdown as Cyprus edges nearer and nearer to bankruptcy.
