This story is set in a parallel world to earth where after many decades of wars, natural disasters and disrespect for the planet, all finally took its toll on the planet and its inhabitants resulting in near destruction. The aftermath did leave survivors, who in time travelled to uncontaminated lands and set about making the planet a safe place to live. The main story centres around the descendants of these survivors many thousand years down the track and focuses on a professional couple who unbeknown to each other have been fighting their own internal war.
