Every year, we remember 9/11 victims and their families. We honor the veterans who served and/or lost their lives fighting in our nation's wars. We acknowledge those who lost their lives during the Pearl Harbor attack...and rightfully so.

But when the subject of slavery in America is brought to the forefront, people just want to forget and move on. Realizing that it is uncomfortable to face a horrific truth, we must face it nevertheless. The wounds never healed. Skin may have covered the wound, but deep inside it has become infected causing pain and swelling. Eventually, it spread and became cancerous because it was never tended to during its early stages.

Discrimination, terrorism, prejudice, genocide and murder is still very much alive today. It will continue to exist until humanity peeks behind the smoke screen and the true meaning of racism is revealed. It is not about different groups of people warring against one another. Instead, it is satan warring against the human race he abhors, simply because we were created in God's image.
