Whilst on a romantic holiday in Bali, John and Kate Beaumont’s daughter, Victoria along with her boyfriend, are kidnapped by a threatening and deadly terrorist ‘Mujahadin Islamiah’ cell. The head terrorist, Abdul Mohammad Rachman is a killer and dangerous; with a reputation. He is also a pansexual and BDSM aficionado. The terrorists have kidnapped for a ransom. John Beaumont knows Victoria and Jacques are doomed, regardless of the ransom demand being met.

The Beaumonts possess a long lost antique Qur'an, known in the antique art collecting world, as The ‘Strooper’ Noble Qur'an of al-Andalus. It was inscribed in the mid eleventh century during the Moorish Golden Age of Islam. It is this Qur'an the terrorists want as the ransom. It is the ultimate symbol of Islam in their minds. Beaumont decides and with the help of some aging army friends, one of whom is an ex-Senator, they will complete an after dark covert raid to rescue his daughter and her boyfriend from the terrorists stronghold, where they are held in an exclusive holiday villa on the beach grounds of the Grand Hyatt Bali. Rachman has an ‘Achilles Heel’, and it has to found for the success of the raid.

Both women and men love John as Sondra, he is good at it. John uses the guise, but with makeover changes to outwit and evade the Federal Police detective agents and the Australian Government, who are trying figure out why the kidnapping has taken place and eventually stop Beaumont’s team from carrying out their objective and mission. To avoid an international incident developing with Indonesia over the mission, the Federal Police, including the Bali Australian Consulate’s orders are being directed by the Prime Minister and his Office.

Simon Reardon, a wealthy Australian businessman and Asian art collector, specialising privately in surreptitious and illegal art, also wants the Qur'an. To obtain it, he does a shared deal with John for the Qur'an, so that Beaumont has the funds and the means, to conduct the operation. The raid takes place, using a game-fishing charter boat out of Darwin, island hopping to Bali. The Federal Police are hot on their tails, along with the RAAF, from the moment Beaumont decides to embark upon and conduct the rescue mission.

This action crime thriller novel is set in Melbourne’s peaceful inner suburbs, Saudi Arabia, Darwin, strife torn East Timor, Jakarta, Java, Bali, Christmas Island, Paris and at sea.
