This little collection of short stories were all written for performance. The occasions being literary evenings in a small cafe in the heart of rural France. It is true to say that they were all very well received. It also has to be said that the wine was good and cheap!
Phil an George is a sort of romance. Leon was a real person and loved Fred Astaire. I saw him in tears when Astaire died and the train journey to work was never the same after Leon retired.
The Mann Booker Prize is a fantasy we all dream. Benred Gregorian is no exception. Possibly he is me!
A Brief Encounter has to be the way to go and Ilona and the Fate worse than Death, the way to live
Clive and the Pile of Bricks is a tale of Asperger's Syndrome and to finish there is Fracking.
I hope you enjoy these little jottings as much as I did writing them. I also enjoyed performing them, usually at the end of the evening, so perhaps it was the wine which enhanced the experience after all!
