Dear Readers,
DO NOT BUY THIS!! ? (It is safe to download, as long as it’s free and on a reputable retail site.)
It’s not often an author will tell you not to buy a book they wrote. But the truth is I didn’t write a book called Abandon All. Nobody did. In fact, this is not a book.
Confused?
Here’s the story. In the Secret Sleuth cozy mystery series – which I am writing :-) – the main character, Sheila Mackey, tells about being the public persona as the author of a mega-bestseller that became a hit movie, both called Abandon All. Which she didn’t actually write, either. Her great-aunt, Kit, wrote it. The two of them were a team – Kit writing and Sheila playing the author – until Kit decided to retire and to encourage Sheila to create her own life as herself.
That’s where the Secret Sleuth series starts, with Death on the Diversion, as Sheila is on a cruise meant to help her sort out what’s next. Except what’s next is that Sheila finds a fellow passenger in a deck chair, dead. If you’re interested, there is preview of the series in this document.
So, why did I create this not-a-book I don’t want you to buy?
Because too many scammers have been producing fake books to take your money. This is a placeholder to put dibs on the title and to prevent any scammers from putting up something they pretend is the “real” Abandon All.
Hope you’ll investigate the Secret Sleuth stories. And be careful out there!
Happy reading,
Patricia McLinn
