Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) was an American writer and human rights fighter of African origin. He was born in slavery and fled to the American North to become an abolitionism leader there. There he began publishing ‘The North Star’ newspaper. His most famous literary work is his own autobiography: ‘Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave’. 'Abolition Fanatism In New-York' is a script of a speech performed by Frederick Douglass, one of the most significant human rights fighters, such as Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King. The speech was performed in New-York, the center of Abolitionist movement.
