Welcome to the fourth short work Aftermath Zombie Series. This series is a short work series of eBooks set a few months after the collapse of society due to a zombie apocalypse. The intrinsic nature of the events that brought on the apocalypse leave the survivors in doubt and still attempting to understand the nature of the zombies they are fighting to survive. The series is set to cover five short works which become incrementally longer as the series continues. A final book will compile the shorter works. There may also be an additional short work covering the scientific research behind the zombie virus that has left the human species teetering on the brink of extinction.
This series details the journey of an unknown woman who is later named Ghost by an individual she encounters along her travels. While facing cultural challenges and learning how to survive more comfortably, she has time to reconsider her surroundings and process what has happened to the world and her place in her new surroundings.
In Aftermath: Consumer Ghost finally feels as though she has bonded with her companion. She feels she can trust him and has learned that her companions can all rely upon one another. Then, as she becomes dear to him, he decides he must be alone for some time to himself. Stunned by her feeling that she has been abandoned Ghost sets out to prove she can navigate the wasteland without his help. This leads to disastrous consequences. Insecure with her ability to survive, she bonds with a new companion in a situation that jeopardizes her security with the stranger that brought her to safety. She has compounded her problems and must decide if she will resolve them before fate deals the group another travesty.
