Wally Butts and Bear Bryant were two legendary coaching figures in the Southeastern Conference. An Atlanta insurance man claimed to have been connected to a telephone conversation between the two coaches while he was trying to call a friend on business in Atlanta. The Saturday Evening Post published the story told by George P. Burnett in March 1963. From there investigations began at the University of Georgia and the University of Alabama. Burnett alleged that Butts, then Georgia's athletic director, provided crucial offensive and defensive plans that the Georgia Bulldogs' football team would use nine days later against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Readers are left to form their own opinions. The title of the book comes from Coach Bryant's first words to Butts, i.e. Hello Wally, What have you got for me?
