Scott is a Royal Air Force aircraft technician and engineer; highly experienced in the work he enjoys and is frequently trained in the black-arts of attack and defence. His intensive training is to be purposefully useful for the dangers he is about to face, both on planets Earth and Mars.
In the prequel to this book, An Alien Affair, he has used his military expertise in destroying a Grey Empire's galactic cruiser and its cloned crew in order to survive. He knew he had to win the battle as his colony lover, a six-foot tall blonde and beautiful woman called Frell, and the pilot of her spaceship, called Drang, were at risk. He loves this woman as she does him, although the memory of their liaison is completely removed from his memory after each meeting. She loves Scott with all her heart and now she owes him her life. He is already the father to a daughter from a previous encounter and now there needs to be another from this most recent abduction. She is heading home, ecstatic, with the memory of their passion but also sad at leaving him - again. She has the makings of another child within her, while Scott has been repositioned back from where he was lifted, without the knowledge of what has taken place - or that had been the initial plan. Frell has her own agenda and has taken the required steps to leave him with... knowledge. It proves to be in her favour, in a way she could never have imagined. Having destroyed the Grey ship they have earned themselves the distinction of being the most wanted humans in the Grey-owned cosmos. The Grey Empire does not understand the meaning of losing, whereupon they now deviously plan to trap them. This where, An Alien Rescue, begins.
While heading back to their Mothership base, Frell and Drang are compromised by the Greys, abducted before leaving Earth's solar system. They are eventually reported missing and their colony is anxious for their safety, fearing the worst. Scott is contacted by members of Frell's colony as they need his expertise and knowledge to help locate their missing comrades. His resurrected memories are used not only to influence his decision in joining the rescue mission but also to give him the determination and the mental strength to save them all.
On Mars, the Grey's have a secret base. The red planet has ferocious living fossils in subterranean lakes, carnivorous survivors of a ruined planet. There are answers to why so many missions to explore the planet have failed and an abducted US Marine from the jungles of the Vietnam war is discovered. He has been kept prisoner for many lonely years and is on the brink of finally breaking down. Can he help the team? Can they help him?
Earth too has a secret Grey base, where UFO sightings are frequent. On this particular occasion, a US nuclear submarine is diverted from its mission to observe what may be happening in the South-Atlantic as the intrepid rescuers arrive as part of their search and rescue. Earth's last secret base holds a great many answers concerning missing individuals plus a whole lot more. Scott is bewildered by all that he learns, with each and every discovery adding to his growing determination to destroy the Greys while saving both his lover and her pilot. He is not only a man on a mission, he is out to annihilate those who took Frell with their unborn child. He has the necessary experience to win almost any battle against any foe he pits himself against, more than prepared to fight to the death. He will not accept losing and will not take prisoners. He never has!
The Greys consider humans to be likened to a virus, stupid and animal-like in their behaviour and habits. They have underestimated Scott's abilities for this reason and will pay for their misguided error. They have no idea what is about to hit them because he is a different kind of biological weapon. He knows what is about to go down, and it'll be with all his mettle! He's like a walking time bomb and set to explode. But how will it end?
