The action begins in war torn Afghanistan in nineteen eighty one. The Soviet Army has invaded the country, decimating the population over the last three years. The Soviets have a strict doctrine for dealing with even perceived resistance to their occupation which is brutal, overwhelming and final. CIA recruits Damien Borceau and Tran Nguyen have been assigned to eliminate a Russian general who’s been rampaging across the countryside with tanks and armored personnel carriers laying waste to entire villages.

Damien and Tran are no mere assassins; these two young men have been modified through cutting edge technology into lethal killing machines. This is the explosive, action packed sequel to “Cry No More.” Damien and Tran had joined the CIA with secret plans of becoming serial killers on the idea nobody would ever find out about what they did. They soon found out the agency knew all about their plans and put them into a program called Brighid to modify them mentally and physically into unstoppable killing machines.

Now Damien has his first assignment, a seeming one way suicide attack on a general surrounded by soldiers and armored vehicles. To make it worse, there are elements within the CIA who are opposed to the Brighid program and have been subverting the mission from the start. Damien has to find a way to deal with both the Soviet general and the opposition within the Central Intelligence Agency. These are the least of their worries as the novel begins with their being out of water and in danger of dying from dehydration.

The story melds the eighties time period along with accurate historical references, giving them the twist of alternate, covert explanations built up from the novel’s storyline. The book is a blend of adventure thriller, military action and espionage. Get ready for an intense thrill ride that doesn’t let up, a relentless onslaught of action which will leave you breathless.
