This dictionary is a compilation of more than 23 separate dictionaries (individually listed in the preface) and is not the work of a single author; however, it retains consistency throughout. When originally published, it was intended not only as a dictionary for the clergy, but also the laity of the Anglican Churches. For this reason, whether Anglican or not, many find much of this work invaluable. It contains upwards of 600 definitions with extension explanations of each and covers a range of subjects ranging from the doctrine of sin to the church’s ordaining of deacons. For ease of searching we have added a linked table of contents at the beginning as well as a fully linked word index at the end.
