A man's body is found in his car on the South Downs. Kevin Stewart is identified along with his next-of-kin - his ex-wife, Sarah. After the police visited her with the news she discovers - in the attic - some antique silver, a laptop and some papers. She removes the laptop, leaves the house (taking the computer) and when she returns the silver has disappeared. Then the body of a young lady who works with Sarah is left at her house. Scared Sarah moves in with her friend Zelda. When Zelda's flat is searched the women go to stay at a friend's apartment in Torremolinos and acquire a stalker. They quickly return to England and hope the police have made progress. More surprises await them especially the name of the culprit. .
