My name is Kelly Adams and my family left its bunker in Tennessee and traveled across the United States to the high mountains in Nevada after a virus spread through the nations in 2010, and then mutated until 2012. My father; David Martin, was prior military and he took us to an abandoned Air Force Base to start over.
My brothers and I walked among the infected through hospitals and stores. We faced the worst of humanity. Babies were killed after being experimented on. Teenagers fought in alleys for anything of value—sometimes just because they felt like killing someone. Our father, David Martin, had instilled values in his children and he encouraged us to never lose our humanity.
When the mutated virus surfaced again, eighty percent of humanity died. Those that lived were affected. The ones living outside the bunkers became violent. The children and young people that survived were beautiful, but very different. Their hair was almost white—their eyes were a brilliant green. Their skin was a dark olive tone and they were muscle bound and dangerous. There was no regard to human life—not even family.
We created an antidote against the biological weapon, but it didn’t work on me. Many who were infected were cured by it though, and our antidote became our defense weapon. The problem was that the virus was spreading faster than we could treat it. We began a different fight and turned the antidote into a gas form to treat many. Still, it was an uphill battle and we had yet to find its source …
Then we found that the Secretary of Defense was using the virus as a biological weapon. He chemically enhanced the military to try to maintain control over the nation. Commander Martin and his “Avenging Angels” begin the uphill battle of finding the healing facilities so they can change the soldiers back to normal human beings. The battle has only begun and the fight is constant.
