The next few days was one laced with anticipation. John never left the hospital from that day forward. He made a promise to Monica to never leave her. Leaning over the bed, John wiped Monica's forehead while talking to her.
John pulled up a chair and explained what happened that night a year ago. "I received a call from Pam when they rushed to the hospital. You had a fractured skull, broken ribs and two broken arms and legs. Internal bleeding and a punctured lung. Doctor Reynolds didn’t know if you were going to make it or not."
