R.J. is nervous about his first day at his new school. Even though he looks like all the other bears, he thinks differently and has special challenges.

When school begins, R.J. is so excited about recess he can hardly sit still in his seat. Finally when it is time to go outside, R.J. realizes he does not know how to play hide-and-seek. After the other bears laugh and tease him, R.J. is saved by Buddy who stops the bully bears and invites him to play with him. But it is not until his teacher tells the class that they are all special and unique that R.J. finally learns that having the right kind of friends makes all the difference in the world.

In this childrens tale, a special little bear discovers that being unique is not so bad after a new friend and his teacher teach him about acceptance, love, and friendship.
