A story is told of a child who confronted her bed wetting mother, after the young girl got fed up with her mother using her as an excuse while airing her (mother’s) wet beddings. The mother had made it a common practice to loudly complain to all and sundry about how fed up she was with her kid who always wet her bed. She always did this in a bid to avoid suspicion. She was always heard to complain, “This girl has tired me! She is always wetting the bed even when she has not taken tea at bed time,” she would say it loud enough as she aired her beddings, which had huge dark-brown-urine stains. However, her unlucky day came when she was complaining loudly and her daughter was standing by the door. Taking up the cue, the girl, the girl shouted back for all to hear, “Mummy I did not wet the bed. It is you who did it. You think I don’t know?” she said with an innocent face, of course to the mortification of her fidgeting mother who yelled at her to shut up. Meanwhile, neighbours were in glee, as they unsuccessfully tried to cup their mouths with their hands in embarrassment. It later emerged that the bed wetting culprit was actually the father of the girl.
