My purpose in writing this book is threefold. First, I want to pay tribute to my loving companion of ten years. She was as special as they come. This little book is the best way to say “thank you” for the years of joy that she gave us during her precious lifetime.

Secondly, I hope that my tales and anecdotes will entertain you as well as educate you a little about these often misunderstood creatures.

Finally, please take any of my warnings of wolf dog traits very seriously. I recommend that anyone who is not totally familiar with wolf dogs not get one. A wolf dog is a high-maintenance pet. I can only point to the many wolf dog rescues that exist where pets who didn’t “work out” end up.

Furthermore, the owning a wolf dog in many cities, counties, and states is now illegal. Check with your state’s Department of Fish and Game for details.
