A preface notes some other works on the general topic. Chapter 1 points out that the assertion of James in his epistle that God tempts no one cannot be supported by the words of Jesus Christ, Moses, the epistles of Paul and logic. Chapter 2 proposes that the day of wrath will never come, because it would be impossible for the Father to know the day of wrath and not the Son.
