A young girl finds herself suddenly thrust into an orphanage after her adoptive parents were killed in an accident. It is there that voices begin whispering to her, telling her tales of a mystical land that is calling out for her to return.

On her 18th birthday, she is set free from the orphanage and decides to follow the voices to an old forest outside of town. There she finds the doorway to a world she had never known existed; even in her wildest dreams. Aislynn finds out her lineage and learns of her birth parents capture at the hands of the evil Queen Lorbeth. With magic, training, and some help from some new friends, she returns to her kingdom to stand up to the evil forces and claim her birthright.

Birthright is basically the story of Aislynn, a girl who must overcome many obstacles and learn not only to trust in others but in herself as well.
