Bobby and his friends are drawn into a world that no one on Earth had any idea existed.
With the help of Knott, the Sebonie Elf, they find their way to Wyvern Castle where Princess Sharlene tells him the truth about who he is.
Bobby learns that he is Dorian's heir, a powerful Ware Wizard and Guardian of the World Gates. He has the ability to control the Ware using only the power of his mind. Dorian Roper and the other Guardians, who have guarded the Ring of Worlds over the centuries, have all come from the Roper family.
Sharlene sends them to an area they will be safe, at least for the time being, until they find a place for them to stay. They build Camp Terra out of hay bales, in a protected meadow on Seboney Island.
They then go in search of Mantis Mithingarr and stay as his guest at Castle Toadstone. To Bobby and his friends it seems as if they have walked into an imaginary world of legends but quickly discover that it is all real. And worse, Bobby has powerful enemies that he doesn't know, a powerful weapon known as the Nemesis Staff has been created with the sole purpose of destroying the Guardians, and there seems to be no way to leave the island and get back home.
He and his friends find themselves caught up in a battle between friendly forces and those who want Bobby destroyed. With his friends, Bobby sets out on a dangerous quest on his white dragon, Snowflake, to find the lost Nemesis Staff.
If his enemy should find it before he does there could be dire consequences, not the least of which would be the destruction of Bobby Roper himself.
Dragons, Eban Wizards, Sorcerers, Elves, The Caverns of Balgrem, magic, and aliens worlds are just a few of the people and places Bobby Roper has to deal with while trying to find his way home.
Lord Balgar, of the Eban Wizards, has discovered that Bobby is the new Guardian of the Ring of Worlds. The Ebans Wizards created the Nemesis Staff to destroy the Guardians and Bobby is their next target.
The Nemesis Staff has been misplaced and Lord Balgar has his people scouring the land for it. Bobby must find the Staff before Balgar uses it to destroy him. Bobby, riding Snowflake his white dragon, can travel through the transit Gates to the other worlds within the Ring of Worlds.
Adder Mandragon, and his group of Dark Sorcerers, also believe that the Ring of Worlds would be a better place without Bobby Roper.
