Douglas the elephant has a cold. He sneaks out of the house and meets his friends who try to help cure his cold. The remedies don't work.

Douglas the elephant feels left out. he tells a lie and his friends get angry with him. He's not sure how to get out of it, so he makes it worse by denying he lied and by adding to the lie.

Douglas the elephant has a birthday party. he wants an expensive gift. His friends come to the party and everyone has a good time playing games and eating food and cake. Douglas doesn't get the gift he really wanted and is disappointed.

Douglas the elephant has a brand new bicycle. He doesn't want to share it with his friends. Their toys look like so much fun to play with. Douglas has to make a decision; does he share his bicycle and get to share his friends' toys?
