John Rêve and his wife Mary are fighting to stay alive in the harsh conditions of the post-apocalyptic world. Burning sunlight by day, and freezing toxic rain at night make living day to day a struggle. They have one hope for survival, the location of a secret government bunker that has food, water, shelter, and most importantly, medicine. Mary is sick. She contracted an illness that seems to plague most of the survivors in the present day.
They have traveled hundreds of miles and live on a single can of food each day to try to find this secret bunker.

The key to their survival also holds top secret projects once heavily guarded by the military. One the secret labs deep underground was a testing lab for time travel.

John must travel through time ultimately to try and save his wife and the remaining survivors in the bunker. He arrives in a futuristic civilization and he tries to blend in. As he begins gathering the supplies he needs to return to the past he meets a woman that looks and sounds exactly like his wife. In his confusion he decides that he must meet her and find out why he is drawn to her.
