Everybody likes to go to grandma’s house, no matter where they may live, and grandmas live in all kinds of places. Some grandmas live on farms with horses, chickens, and cows; some live-in condos, some in the city, and some in the country. Heck, a grandma can live just about anywhere, but that is always where the fun is, wherever they may be.
As we get a little older we come to realize that as great as grandma was, and grandpa too, it wasn’t really always them that we came to see, but it was our cousins who were usually there to play with.
Oh, to be a kid again, maybe even forever, where the world is green, the jokes are original, the air is fresh, and our friends are the best. We are brave, but not too brave; we are innocent, but not too much so; we are shy, but we work to overcome it, and we are full of mischief, yet we don’t hardly realize it. Our days are full, our fun is glorious, and our responsibilities are few. In time, we grow a little older and we look to the future, but still we cling to the past. After all that’s where all the fun was, wasn’t it?
