Inspired by true events - Manny Hernandez was from the Dominican Republic. By the time he achieved millionaire status through free-agency in U.S. Major League Baseball; his wife Vivienne had borne him two children. Vivienne manipulated Manny through his love for his children and her sexual favors to Manny's agent and lawyer, Sammy Snider.
