Lynn and Suyin both have good reason to hate Ambrose Carson. When nine wealthy Chinese businessmen include Ambrose in their investment plans, Suyin is nominated to act as their intermediary. But she is secretly driven by events of the past, and Ambrose finds that getting the funds together for the planned investment does not run smoothly.
