Seeing their opportunity to grab power the hidden Witch Crown of Ivan the Terrible is brought for. Using this ancient power the dead of both armies are raised to break Napoleon's hold on Mother Russia. First agrees to the raising of the dead to defeat the Emperor Napoleon Grand Army. Surprised and desperate the French Grande Army fought for its life. The dead were pitted against the living with the undead gaining which each battle.
As the dispirited rabble, once called the Grand Army, retreats in the dead of winter the Undead soldiers of the Czar push east. Thus begins the Chronicles of an unlikely hero, Pierre.
