This book is part of Pastor Scott's Coffee Break Devotionals series.

The Psalmist said that one of the characteristics of a blessed person is that he or she meditates on the things of God constantly. In the New Testament the Apostle Paul encouraged the church at Philippi to structure their thought lives around “noble” and “pure” and simply “right” things. In these passages and many others we’re encouraged to spend time thinking about the things of God.

The purpose of this book is to help you do that. I picture a person getting a mug of their favorite coffee (or maybe you prefer tea) and sitting down in a comfortable chair to spend a few minutes thinking about the things of God. That “coffee break” may only last a few minutes, but for those minutes that individual is making a bit of space for God in their life.

If you will allow me to, I’d like to join you in that coffee break. Let’s take a leisurely stroll through the New Testament. We’ll consider just a brief line or two from each chapter and I’ll share a devotional thought with you. Then, I’ll give you a “take away” concept…something to think about as you move back into your day.
