Rob’s dark head was bowed, shaggy hair falling forward over his face, as he shifted from side to side, clearly fighting the urge to look. The muscles of his thighs twitched, and Sam felt a sudden stirring of pity as he saw just how tightly wound he was. He nudged Alex.
“Come here,” Alex said softly.
Rob slunk across the room on hands and knees, ending up crouched before the couch.
Alex reached out, cupped his chin in one giant hand, and tipped his head up. Rob’s eyes were half-wild, his lower lip swollen- he’d been biting it again.
Sam took the collar from Alex’s finger and settled it over Rob’s head, arranging it so the tag rested on his sternum, clinking softly as Rob breathed. As the chain slithered over his skin, the set of his shoulders eased, and he leaned into Alex’s hand, his tongue flickering out to lap at the inside of Alex’s wrist, leaving a glistening trail of saliva behind. Alex’s breathing hitched, and he slid his hand up from Rob’s chin and around to cradle the back of his head, urging him forward.
