Stanley Dyer earned his MDiv and MTh from Asbury Theological Seminary and DMiss from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He served with OMS International in Japan for 27 years in evangelism and church planting. Sixteen of these years he taught at Tokyo Biblical Seminary, as professor of Missions and Evangelism. Stan was appointed Executive Director of OMS-Canada in 1990, which he held for almost ten years. He currently lives with his wife, Marg, in Peterborough, ON.

The Gospel of Christ is still a redemptive message to any nation. However, the communication of this message must relate to the context of that recipient culture. The group-oriented society of Japan has frequently been resistant to this Gospel message.
Although the research for this book was completed several years ago, its principles are current. The author firmly believes that an effective Christian witness could be accomplished in secular groups outside the church walls. This new paradigm for evangelism may become an effective method to reach into the group-oriented Japanese society. May God’s people employ God’s wisdom to bring God’s redemption to Japan!
