Warning: Again, this novel content is strong! Young village maidens, verging on the step into womanhood, must be free of thoughts of the male body and of lust, sexual appetite and such ungodly things. Their bodies too must be pure in advance of seeking a husband and to the elders of the village this was how it had always been and would always be. To ensure the continuance of this necessary and proper requirement they employed the services of a priest, to rid the maidens of such thoughts, to cleanse their souls, minds and bodies to become acceptable prospects for marriage. Little did they know that the man in the priest’s garb was not and never have could been a priest but more a scoundrel and thief with nothing but monetary gain and sexual satisfaction on his mind. Shame they didn’t find out at the beginning, it could have saved many a poor maiden her sanity – as well as her maidenhood. His methods are dubious in the extreme and certainly sexual but then again he has the blessing of the elders and complete authority to do all necessary to cleanse these poor maidens. So much for being a fair maiden back in those days!
