The raw and confronting journey of truth, hostility and isolation.

Donna was a woman of devout Catholic faith so strong she committed three years to life as a nun. With a supportive family, a nursing career, a thirteen year marriage and a loving mother to five children; she had all she wanted.  But there was something she didn't understand; a silent but unstoppable force she could no longer deny.  Donna was gay.

In an era where a community could discriminate against same-sex relationships, Donna lived the truth, privately overcoming fear, pain and heartbreak. It was a cost she had to face. Today she is a proud gay woman who has found peace, love and happiness with her life partner, her children, her family, faith and many friends.

In 2012 Donna was diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer, and today she fights this battle with that same honesty, determination and courage in her heart.
