Meet the Author
Tracy Brisson is the Founder and CEO of The Opportunities Project, a national talent development, career coaching, and recruitment consulting agency. Since opening its doors in 2010, The Opportunities Project has helped over 1,000 individuals reach career success through speaking engagements, workshops, and one-on-one and group coaching, and helped organizations hire nearly 500 new team members through its consulting services.
Before launching her own company, Tracy worked in recruitment for over a decade, including managing the hiring process for over 5,000 annual teacher vacancies as Director of Teacher Recruitment for the New York City Department of Education, one of the largest employers in the United States. During her tenure, Tracy’s team placed second in the annual Best Employer Brand contest sponsored by ERE, an international recruitment association.
Tracy’s career advice also regularly appears in print and national media outlets, including the New York Post, Time Out New York, Mashable and CBS MoneyWatch. She has been a featured speaker at dozens of recruitment, leadership, and education conferences, including the Brazen Careerist Recruiting Social Recruiting Conference, CollegeRecruiter.com FedCollege Recruiting Conference, and #140edu.
Tracy is an alumna of Syracuse University, New York University and Teach for America, and splits her time between Brooklyn, NY and Savannah, GA.
