Cricket Philosopher is a poem which takes the point of view that what you have is what you need, and if you don't want what you don't have (and also don't want what it is supposed by others you need) then you'll find happiness... in the forest of your life. I've always imagined a cricket, but, except for the title, the creature "speaking" can be any you would like to imagine.
There are seven stanzas of eight lines each. The lines rhyme ABCBDEE(E)E (the "(E)" indicates an internal rhyme). For each stanza, the first six lines have five syllables each (with a meter of 'da DUM da da DUM'), the seventh line has 10 syllables (with meter 'da DUM da da DUM da da DUM, da DUM'), and the last line 8 syllables (with meter the same as line 7, minus the last two syllables).
The structure of seven stanzas has been maintained as seven chapter breaks, but each stanza has had its lines split-apart in order to preserve the intent (the pacing) of each line, and thus each line may be given its own page; there may be instances, however, where managing the evolution of the poem in your mind, some lines have been split into multiple pages, or, multiple lines of a stanza remain on the same page (making it so a chapter is not necessarily equal to the count of lines of a stanza).
