The Gospel of John is different to the synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke). The collection of Jesus words sounds more like far eastern spirituality: e.g. “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.” “I and the Father are one.”
Unfortunately modern theology let appear the Gospel of John in a bad light. Especially Bultmann started a discussion about the authenticity of the Jesus quotes. But let me ask with Pilate “What is truth?” (John 18:38). The wisdom of the Jesus words directly touches your heart. You hear the voice of the Arisen One through them. Who cares about their provableness by science?
So open your hearts to the verses of John. A lot is not understandable by your minds but only by your hearts. I have selected those verses, which currently are speaking most to me.
