Curious Critters (Vol. I) contains three comic-book adventures of Boggs Pumpelly and Bud Ricks in script form; two country boys living amid the hills and hollows of north Alabama. If there's a strange critter --- animal or human --- anywhere in the hills, Boggs' and Bud's path seem destined to cross with them. Were it not for the boys' solemn reassurance as to the objective reality of their encounters, "Curious Critters" might well be dismissed as tall tales by the incredulous. But then, somebody once said there were more critters under the sun than was dreamed up by those fellows' pomposity... For instance:
Episode I: "Out to the Ball Game" - Boggs and Bud go to see a baseball-playing chicken at the Dew Drop Inn.
Episode II: "Hoo Doo John and the Valley of Ginseng"- Boggs and Bud go herb hunting and are tricked out of a fortune in Ginseng by wild man, Hoo Doo John.
Episode III: "The Garfish and the Hoo Doo Jig"- Boggs and Bud are saved from drowning by a fish that they have spared the previous summer while out fishing.

Coming soon: Vol. II of "Curious Critters":
Episode IV: "Workin' for the Colonel" - A tale of chiggers and revenge!
Episode V: "Over the Limit & Over the Line" - A tale of duck hunting and flying high.
Plus: Episode II adapted for film.
