Upon reaching the floor, he opened another door, which concealed a further set of spiral steps going upwards.
She felt her excitement peaking; she could never resist hidden passageways and secrets, and the thrill of discovery returned with a vengeance. She simply had to see this.
Erick led the way up. They had arrived at the house's apex, standing on a round balcony-like structure which was completely hidden from the ground level and invisible from any other window.
Hollianne felt as if she had been thrust right into the night sky, surrounded by countless stars.
"Oh my God." She breathed as she slowly turned where she stood while looking up at millions of twinkling lights. "Erick, this is phenomenal... it's as if we're standing up in heaven!"
