There are many books which criticize the Darwin's or Neo-Darwin's theories, but few, if none of them explains why those theories are wrong scientifically. This book include 40 essays, and the author, Jianyi Zhang, elucidates what real issues these theories have, and reasons why these theories are not scientific ones, and should be called a pseudoscience.
Darwin's theory now has evolved into the Neo-Darwinian one, or the so-called Modern Synthesis, which is a hodgepodge mixture of many theories, so it is difficult for the public, even those in biology but not majoring in evolution, to understand. The book begins with several articles to discuss what Darwin and Neo-Darwinian theories are so that the reader might have a clear picture of these theories.
Darwin theorists are often proud to claim to have numerous scientific evidences for the theory. The author explores those scientific evidences to tell the reader that none of these so-called "evidences" can be used to support the theory; most of them are even not relevant to the question.
Falsifiability is an important feature for any scientific theory. If a theory is not falsifiable, it’s a pseudo-science, and the contemporary Neo-Darwinian theory is exactly that: it has no way to be proved wrong—and the author wrote several articles to discuss the issue thoroughly.
Most of these essays were published in a Chinese book in 2012. The author adds a few more essays while translating the book into English. The purpose of the book is to provide the readers with basic biology knowledge to understand what Darwin and the Darwinian theories are about, and why they are absurdly wrong.
The author Jianyi Zhang grew up in Beijing, China, and graduated from Beijing Medical College (now Health Science Center, Peking University, China), majoring in clinical medicine. Later, he came to the United States, earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Epidemiology. He has been practicing medicine the United States for many years.
