Day of the Dead A Passion for Life is filled with never before seen images and text that illustrates their unique characteristics and interpretations of the Day of the Dead celebration in these secluded and untouched indigenous communities of Michoacan.  

Being the first of its kind, Day of the Dead A Passion for Life focuses on the P’urhepecha people that live in four areas of the state of Michoacan: The Lake Area, the P’urhepecha Plateau, the Canada of the Eleven Towns and the Cienega.  In this book, the author takes the reader deep into their traditions, explicitly documenting the differences and similarities of how these indigenous communities celebrate the lives and memories of their ancestors.
