The chilling true story of Oregon's most shocking killer! Jimmy Rode was serving a sentence for burglary in a Florida prison when he met serial killer Ted Bundy. It was Bundy who gave him a Seattle newspaper containing personal ads--an easy means for meeting vulnerable female victims--that launched Rode on a coast-to-coast killing spree under the alias of Cesar Barone. Now, in detail, acclaimed true crime author Lasseter unleashes the story of Jimmy Rode!

About the author: After retiring early from a telephone company career, lineman to mid-executive, Lasseter traveled the world exploring WWII battlefields. Pondering a second career, he flashed back on his main reading interest; true crime books, and decided to write in that genre. He, produced 50 plus magazine stories, leading to first book, Property Of The Folsom Wolf, in 1995. Nineteen more followed, including his best seller, Die For Me, about serial killers Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. In 2005, Lasseter returned to his interest in WWII, and wrote "Their Deeds of Valor" about U.S. airmen shot down in France and funneled through underground escape lines. He has appeared on twenty television documentaries and talk shows, including the ID, Oxygen, Biography, and Discovery channels, and NBC. He has also been a guest lecturer for criminology classes at California State University, Fullerton, and a speaker at the prestigious Round Table West in Newport Beach, California.
