Each Chapter has a Summary to share thoughts on various subjects. This allows me to discuss thoughts of suicide, moving on with your life and handling other matters such as honoring your loved one and consideration of family members.
Erwin is new to the literary world, recently attending meetings with the Modesto Literary Group in Modesto CA. This is his first published book.
Erwin was born in Haverhill MA on November 18, 1934. He attended schools in Somerville, MA graduating from Somerville High School in 1953.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army immediately after to avoid the Draft for the Korean conflict, and was discharged in 1956 after serving 3 years. Two of the years were spent in France. While in the military he gained experience using IBM equipment, this became his vocation and launched a near-60 year career in Information Technology.
He attended Northeastern University in Boston MA for a brief period concentrating on accounting and job related computer courses.
He relocated to Los Angeles CA in 1971.
He credits his mother and father for instilling a good work ethic. On his last day at work, as an Information Technology Consultant at Southern California Edison, he was 76. During that 60 year period of employment there were very few gaps.
He thanks his parents also for early involvement in religion. He was brought up as a Christian Scientist and later served in many of their churches in Boston area and California. He continues to read the Bible every day. He credits this for giving him a good moral compass and the day-to-day inspiration which he hopes shows in his writings. He currently has four books of poetry underway.
He started writing poetry after the death of his first wife Virginia. He continues to write every day.
